Susan B. Anthony project page 1

She was born on February 15, 1820. She was raised in a Quakers household. She used to be a teacher before coming a leading. She has passed away on March 13, 1906. Her middle name Brownell. She was a wife to a gentlemen that loved her dearly and truly. IN 1856 susan became to work as a agent for the American antislavery society.

Susan fought for rights of women and she believed that all people are equal.  when she was young she went to people houses to teach children. Susan had fought her all to end slavery. she joined the Women's State Temperance Society in the State of New York. Susan continued working hard by going from state to state giving speeches about the enfranchisement of women. In 1878, Susan convinced Senator Aaron Sargent of California to propose an amendment to the constitution for women's suffrage.

Susan B. Anthony was a pivotal figure in the American civil rights movement, who played a key part in the rights of women (known as “women’s suffrage”). She was arrested in 1872 for illegally voting in a presidential election, and was eventually fined months later. She vowed in the courtroom that she would never pay the fine, and she never did.  Susan B Anthony died at the age of 86 of heart failure and complications due to pneumonia.
